Winter is the perfect excuse to indulge, and The Little Food Market is returning to Melbourne from 17 to 19 July with three days dedicated to the very best in Australian food and drink.
Taking over the Royal Exhibition Building, Australia’s largest curated food market will bring together more than 200 producers, makers and artisans for a weekend of tasting, shopping and discovering new favourites. Whether you’re a passionate home cook, a dedicated foodie or simply looking for a delicious day out, there’s plenty to tempt every appetite.
Visitors can sample everything from cool climate wines, boutique spirits and specialty coffee to artisan cheeses, handcrafted pastries, premium seafood and gourmet pantry staples. Returning favourites including Zonzo Estate, Oakridge Wines, St David Dairy, Axil Coffee, Bruny Island Cheese Co., Pizzini Wines and Puopolo Artisan Salumi will be joined by newcomers such as Pinto, Sebby’s Scrolls, Kōri Ice Cream, Ocean Road Abalone, Schulz Organic Dairy and The Gospel Whiskey.

Cheese lovers will have plenty to celebrate, with an impressive collection of Australia’s finest cheesemakers showcasing everything from creamy burrata to rich washed rind varieties and bold blue cheeses, alongside premium smallgoods, olives and grazing essentials.
Beyond the tastings, the popular Winnings Food Experience Stage returns with live cooking demonstrations and conversations led by some of Australia’s best-known culinary names. Julia Busuttil Nishimura, Gareth Whitton, Tobie Puttock, Nick Ryan, Sharon Flynn and Tom Jones-Davies are among those sharing recipes, techniques and stories, with complimentary tastings included throughout the sessions.

If all that sampling leaves you hungry, The Feast precinct is the place to settle in. Melbourne favourites including Allegria Pasta, Wonderbao, D.O.C Gastronomia Italiana, UGO Burrata Bar, Dingo Ate My Taco, Wonder Pies, ILZA Japanese Café and Casa Nata will be serving generous winter comfort food, while Axil Coffee keeps visitors fuelled throughout the weekend.
The market will also spotlight Victoria’s celebrated food regions, including the Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, giving visitors the chance to meet local producers and discover regional specialities without leaving Melbourne.
The Little Food Market runs from 17 to 19 July at the Royal Exhibition Building. Tickets are on sale now from https://thelittlefoodmarket.com.au.
