New Zealand favourites Six60 are heading back to Melbourne, with the chart-topping band announced as the latest act for the 2026 Live At The Gardens concert series.
The one-night-only performance will take place at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne on Friday 27 November, with Perth indie outfit South Summit joining the bill as special guests. Tickets go on sale to the general public from 11am on Wednesday 12 August, following a 24-hour member presale beginning at 11am on Monday 10 August.
The show will see Six60 perform songs from their latest album Right Here Right Now alongside fan favourites including Don’t Forget Your Roots, Someone To Be Around and Only To Be.
Frontman Matiu Walters said the band was excited to return to one of its favourite Australian cities.
“Melbourne is one of the great cities. We have played there countless times and SIX60 fans always show out in force. I can’t wait to hit the stage in such a cool venue, and celebrate in the way only SIX60 fans can.”
Six60 remain one of New Zealand’s biggest live acts, recently performing to around 40,000 people at the opening of Christchurch’s One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha. Their latest album features the singles We Made It and Endlessly.
Joining them is South Summit, whose mix of indie rock, reggae and hip-hop has helped build a strong following across Australia. The Perth five-piece scored ARIA chart success with debut album The Bliss, which reached No. 2, before backing it up with Run It Back, which peaked at No. 3.
Live At The Gardens launched in 2024 and has become a popular fixture on Melbourne’s outdoor events calendar, bringing international and Australian artists together in the picturesque surrounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Previous performers have included Franz Ferdinand, Groove Armada, Chet Faker, Tash Sultana, Matt Corby and The Living End.
