ABBA’s biggest hits are getting a circus makeover in Gimme Gimme Gimme: The ABBA Cirque Experience, a new Australian production opening at St Kilda’s newly reopened Fitzroy St Theatre on 15 October 2026.
Combining live entertainment, acrobatics, aerial performances and cabaret, the show offers a theatrical take on the Swedish pop group’s enduring catalogue, from Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia to Waterloo, Voulez-Vous and The Winner Takes It All.
The production arrives as Dancing Queen celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, giving fans another reason to revisit the music that has kept ABBA on dance floors across generations.
Rather than a traditional tribute concert, Gimme Gimme Gimme pairs the familiar songs with circus artistry, choreography and vocal performances, promising a high-energy night out for longtime fans and anyone keen for a little disco nostalgia.
The all-Australian cast features Grace Laing, Georgia Unsworth, Sam Hamilton, Elena Atanasovski, Paige Dorrity, Louis Green, Daniel Price, Cristian Robba-Colley, Charlotte Sligar and Gabriel Tiller.
The show also marks a new chapter for Fitzroy St Theatre, which has reopened with a focus on bringing live entertainment back to the heart of St Kilda. Its intimate setting puts audiences close to the performers and action.
With its mix of pop classics and theatrical spectacle, the production is designed for group outings, birthday celebrations and nights out with friends.
Gimme Gimme Gimme: The ABBA Cirque Experience opens on Thursday 15 October, with tickets on sale now. Gather your Dancing Queens and book tickets at https://abbacirquetribute.com/.
