The AFL has announced the return of its successful Kids Go Free program for 2025, giving families the chance to enjoy live footy without breaking the bank. Children aged 14 and under can attend matches for free during Rounds 16-19 (26 June – 20 July), perfectly timed with school holidays across Australia.
Now in its fourth year, the initiative has proven hugely popular, driving a 12.8% increase in junior attendance during last year’s campaign period. In 2024 alone, 24,500 first-time junior ticket holders experienced the excitement of live AFL action. This year promises even more family-friendly fun, with enhanced match-day entertainment, giveaways, and special activations to keep young fans engaged.
The excitement continues in Victoria during Round 21, where kids can attend five blockbuster matches for free thanks to a partnership with the Victorian Government.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Bec Haagsma emphasised the importance of the program, saying: “We understand families across the country are managing cost-of-living pressures, and Kids Go Free…thanks to Coles and Round 21 in Victoria will allow families to enjoy a day at the footy with enhanced match-day activations for the whole family to enjoy!”
Tickets for Marvel Stadium and MCG matches are available now for club members, with general public sales opening 4 June. All other venues will release tickets from tomorrow.
