Western Victoria’s most celebrated winemakers are uncorking their finest bottles as the Red Series returns to Ballarat on 25-26 July, transforming the historic Mining Exchange into a hub for wine lovers eager to explore the depth and character of the region’s standout reds.
Now in its ninth year, the event, previously known as Seriously Shiraz, has evolved into a premier showcase of cool-climate wines, featuring more than 100 pours from 19 top producers across the Grampians, Pyrenees, Ballarat, and Henty regions.

Attendees will have the rare opportunity to taste exclusive releases while meeting the winemakers behind esteemed labels like Mount Langi Ghiran, Dalwhinnie, and Seppelt, alongside discovering boutique gems from emerging producers.
Whether you’re a serious collector or simply appreciate a robust Shiraz, the event combines education, indulgence, and the renowned hospitality of Western Victoria’s wine country.

Each ticket includes a souvenir glass, bottle carry bag, and a charcuterie cone with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. For those wanting an enhanced experience, gourmet grazing boxes from local producer Hideaway can be pre-ordered. Adding to the weekend’s appeal, respected wine writer Jeremy Oliver will share his knowledge through engaging sessions.
Held in the grand Ballarat Mining Exchange, just minutes from the train station, the Red Series offers the perfect winter escape, pairing exceptional wines with regional flavours in an atmosphere alive with discovery.
