Spiderbait aren’t quite finished celebrating the 30th anniversary of Ivy & the Big Apples, with the Australian rock favourites announcing four encore shows for October and November, including three stops across regional Victoria.
After selling out dates on their national anniversary tour, the trio will take the show to Torquay Hotel on Friday, 23 October, Barwon Heads Hotel on Saturday, 24 October, and Ballarat Civic Hall on Friday, 6 November, before wrapping up at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Saturday, 7 November.
The encore performances will once again see Spiderbait play Ivy & the Big Apples in full, alongside a selection of fan favourites spanning the band’s career.

Originally released in 1996, Ivy & the Big Apples became a defining album for the band. It debuted at number three on the Australian charts, achieved double Platinum status and remained in the ARIA Top 50 for almost a year.
The record produced hits including Calypso and Hot Water & Milk, while Buy Me A Pony made Australian music history as the first local song to top the triple j Hottest 100. The album also earned Best Alternative Release at the 1997 ARIA Awards.
Reflecting on the album, the band said: “Such an important album for us with lots of epic memories.”
Frontier Members can access the pre-sale from 2pm AEST on Thursday, 6 August, with general public tickets on sale from 3pm AEST on Friday, 7 August. The Torquay, Barwon Heads and Ballarat performances are not Frontier Touring-presented shows, with tickets available through the respective venue ticketing outlets.
For fans who missed out on the sold-out anniversary tour, or simply want to experience one of Australia’s most celebrated rock albums performed live again, these regional encore dates offer another chance.
