Everclear are heading back to Australia for a nostalgic run of shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album Sparkle and Fade. The alt-rock heavyweights are bringing their platinum-selling record back to life with a 16-date national tour, including shows in Chelsea, St Kilda and Barwon Heads.
Released in 1995, Sparkle and Fade cemented Everclear’s place in alternative rock history with grunge-soaked anthems like Santa Monica, Heroin Girl and Heartspark Dollarsign. The album peaked at #9 on the ARIA Charts and has gone platinum in Australia, the US and Canada — a true ‘90s staple that continues to resonate with fans old and new.
“Sparkle and Fade was not the first album I had made, but it was the album I had wanted to make my whole life,” says frontman Art Alexakis. “It changed everything for me and Everclear.”
Alexakis remains the only original member in the current lineup, joined by Davey French, Freddy Herrera and Brian Nolan. Together, they’ll perform nearly the entire album live — alongside fan favourites from their deep discography.
Pre-sales via Spotify and Bandsintown open 9am AEST Wednesday 30 July, with general on-sale from Thursday 31 July. For full ticket info, head to everclearmusic.com.
