Global R&B star Khalid is heading back to Australia and New Zealand this November, locking in five arena dates as part of his It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour.
Presented by Frontier Touring and MG Live, the run marks the multi-platinum artist’s first arena shows across the region since his 2019 Free Spirit Tour. Joining him on all dates will be LA-based singer, songwriter and producer Lauv as special guest.
The tour kicks off at Spark Arena on Tuesday 10 November before heading to Australia, with stops at Riverstage, Qudos Bank Arena, Rod Laver Arena and RAC Arena.
With more than 50 billion global streams and seven GRAMMY nominations to his name, Khalid’s return follows a huge run of international success. His last visit to Australia included two intimate shows at the Sydney Opera House in 2024, where he premiered material from his album Sincere.
Since breaking through with the diamond-certified single Location, Khalid has built a catalogue that includes the 4x platinum American Teen and the chart-topping Free Spirit, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Tracks like Talk, Love Lies and Eastside have helped define his sound, while collaborations with artists including Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish and Ed Sheeran have cemented his global reach.
His latest era continues that momentum. The 2025 album After The Sun Goes Down leans into smooth R&B, electro-pop and 80s-inspired synths, described by critics as vibrant and authentic. The record produced standout singles including In Plain Sight and Nah, signalling a new chapter in his evolving sound.
Tickets for the tour will be released in stages, with Telstra Plus Members gaining early access from Monday 23 March, followed by artist and Frontier presales from Thursday 26 March. General public tickets go on sale Friday 27 March.
For Melbourne fans, the Rod Laver Arena date on Sunday 15 November is set to be one of the season’s biggest pop shows, bringing Khalid’s expansive catalogue and new material to one of the city’s premier live stages.
