A winter evening of fire performances, live entertainment, global food and local makers is set to return to Melbourne’s west when Wyndham City’s free Firefly Night Market takes over Penrose Place in Tarneit on Saturday 27 June.
Running from 4pm to 9pm, the popular community event transforms the precinct into a lively celebration of culture, creativity and connection, bringing together more than 70 market stalls, roaming performers and family-friendly activities for all ages.
This year’s program features a packed lineup of entertainment, including the thunderous beats of WALAKADO Taiko Drumming, interactive characters from Born in a Taxi and the dramatic fire displays of FACE’s Fire Flame Spirit.
Families can also get involved with circus activities from Not My Circus, explore hands-on play spaces with Playable Streets and enjoy the offbeat antics of Burnt Sausages Saucetacular.
Beyond the entertainment, visitors can browse stalls showcasing local artists, makers and small businesses while sampling food from around the world. From hearty savoury dishes to sweet treats, there will be plenty on offer to keep visitors warm throughout the evening.
Wyndham City Mayor Cr Preet Singh said the event continues to be a highlight on the local calendar.
“Wyndham City’s free Firefly Night Market brings together local artisans, makers and performers for one huge night of entertainment.”
“Local favourite Little Growling Café returns with its cosy chai tent, offering the perfect place to warm up with a fragrant chai while soaking in the atmosphere.”
“Attendees will also enjoy thrilling fire performances that light up the winter night.”
“It’ll be great to catch up with friends and family, grab a bite and settle in for some amazing performances, connect with the community and support local traders.”
Whether you’re there for the food, shopping, entertainment or simply a warm chai by the fire, Firefly Night Market promises a festive winter night out.
