Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will tour Australia and New Zealand together for the first time, with an intimate In Conversation show coming to Melbourne next January.
The pair, who played Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the acclaimed AMC series, will share the stage in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland for a behind-the-scenes look at one of television’s most celebrated dramas.
According to the announcement, “Bryan and Aaron will be on stage together to talk about how the show was made, what it gave to each, and what it took out of them. They will discuss everything Breaking Bad: the writing, the production’s long days, the mistakes, the danger, the scenes that cracked them up with laughter – and the ones that broke them up with despair.”
Running for five seasons between 2008 and 2013, Breaking Bad followed high school chemistry teacher Walter White as he became increasingly involved in the methamphetamine trade, alongside his former student Jesse Pinkman.
The series has continued to attract a huge global following since its finale, with Rolling Stone placing it at No. 3 on its 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time list.
For fans, the Australian shows offer a chance to hear Cranston and Paul reflect on the making of Breaking Bad, including the demanding production process, memorable scenes and experiences behind the cameras.
General public tickets for the tour go on sale from 11am on Friday 2 October. More info and tickets here.
