The Treaty Day Out Ballarat, organized by the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, is set to take place at the Ballarat City Oval on 2 March 2024. This event aims to raise awareness and garner support for the ongoing Treaty negotiations with the Victorian Government.
Following successful festivals in Bendigo, Shepparton, and Melbourne, the Ballarat edition promises an outstanding lineup, featuring international sensation Jessica Mauboy as the headliner.
Returning for her second Treaty Day Out, Mauboy, is anticipated to deliver an electrifying performance, showcasing tracks from her upcoming album, ‘Yours Forever.’ Joining her on the stage are Electric Fields, Mo’Ju, 3%, Scott Darlow, Madi Colville-Walker, Blackfire, Brolga, and Jada Weazel, creating a diverse and exciting musical experience.
In collaboration with Songlines Music Aboriginal Corporation, Treaty Day Out proudly includes Songlines artist Canisha in this year’s lineup. Canisha, known for her raw energy and fresh sound, will bring a unique musical journey to the Treaty Day Out stage.
The event holds special significance, connecting Indigenous communities and allies through live music and storytelling. Enrolled members with the Assembly will receive free entry, and those eligible can enroll online at any time.
