Discover the breathtaking new Gananyu Bulukul Seaford Wetlands viewing platform, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Seaford Wetlands’ serene landscapes and observe diverse birdlife in their natural habitat.
This impressive platform, accessible from Austin Road, is part of the Seaford Wetlands Rejuvenation Project, is a $5 million initiative under the Victorian Government’s Suburban Parks Program aimed at preserving these vital wetlands while enhancing visitor facilities.
Designed with accessibility in mind, this three-level platform features interpretive signage that educates visitors about local flora and fauna. Strategically set back from the water, it minimises environmental disruption while offering an immersive experience of the wetlands’ beauty.
Alongside the platform, the project has upgraded the shared user path (SUP) to improve stability and accessibility for all, with new ramps, bike hoops, and an accessible drinking fountain.
In addition to the platform, a pedestrian and cycling bridge across Kananook Creek have been incorporated, connecting visitors to more of the wetlands’ stunning scenery.
