Koorie Klaus is returning to town! His special appearance at the Koorie Heritage Trust’s annual Koorie Krismas will bring the magic of the festive season to life as part of a fun-filled family day with free live music, DJs, and dance performances.
There will also be free family-friendly workshops and a First Peoples market from artists and creators who will have options aplenty for your Krismas buying needs.
Some of the best makers will be gathered in one place for the day, including: Clothing The Gaps; Haus of Dizzy & Haus of Ziggy Lee; Ilan Style; Kevin Williams; Kinya Lerrk Pty Ltd; Mabu Mabu; Mana Dreaming; Marbeangrook Designs; N’Dene Riley; Wiimpatja Nhuungku Designs; Wunyun; Yulaa-li with more to be announced.
Get crafty at a free workshop- make a wreath from Indigenous flora with Thelma Austin; customise a Krismas Kard designed by ENOKi along with badge making fun.
On the Fed Square stage, enjoy a variety of performances including the Djirri Djirri Dancers, music from the Pirritu Duo, and poetry and storytelling by Barry Gilson – MCed by Lady Lash. There will also DJ sets from ENOKiCurry, Randals Dad, DJ PGZ, and Cerulean, as well as performances by the Ngargee Dancers, among others.
