Como House, located in South Yarra, is a historic mansion blending Australian Regency and Italianate architecture. Built in 1847 and managed by the National Trust, it offers a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of Melbourne’s elite during the 19th century.
Step into the charm of an 1880s Christmas and explore how grand households celebrated the season of giving. The exhibition showcases lavish decorations, historic artifacts, and timeless traditions, inviting visitors to relive the elegance of the Victorian era.
Creative holiday workshops
Embrace the spirit of sustainable crafting with workshops led by Rita Feldmann from the Sustainable Floristry Network. Create natural, eco-friendly wreaths in her Wreath Making Workshops on 14 and 17 December, perfect for festive décor or heartfelt gifts.
For those with a sweet tooth, join the Gingerbread House Decorating Classes on 8 and 21 December. Held in the grand Como Ballroom, these sessions, led by Paint With Me Northcote, are a delightful way to share holiday joy with loved ones.
