This January, Melbourne Museum is offering an extraordinary opportunity for families to sleep among the dinosaurs. The Museum Sleepovers event is scheduled for two nights: Thursday, 16 January, and Friday, 17 January 2025.
Participants will go on an exclusive torchlight tour of the “Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs” exhibit, providing a unique perspective on these ancient creatures. The adventure continues with a viewing of “MUFASA: THE LION KING 3D” at IMAX, followed by a guided exploration of the immersive “Antopia” exhibition, where visitors can experience life from an ant’s perspective.
After a night of exploration, guests will sleep in the Dinosaur Walk gallery, surrounded by prehistoric giants. The following morning includes a hot breakfast and an early tour of the Gandel Gondwana Garden, delving into Victoria’s ancient landscapes.
Tickets are available for both members and non-members, with prices starting at $240 for adults and $220 for children for members, and $265 for adults and $245 for children for non-members. Each adult can accompany up to three children, and all participants must bring their own sleeping bags and pillows.
This event is designed for children aged 6 to 12 and their accompanying adults, offering a rare chance to experience the museum after dark and create lasting memories.
