Melbourne’s tennis obsession doesn’t stop at Rod Laver Arena, with the Australian Open inspiring a wave of citywide spin-offs that stretch well beyond the courts. This summer, Miilk Cake Studio is joining the festivities with a playful trio of tennis-themed drinks designed to cool down overheated fans navigating the CBD.
A favourite for beautifully styled cakes and sweet treats, the Swanston Street cake shop is leaning into the AO energy with limited-edition iced fruit teas that look as good as they taste. Each drink is inspired by the bright colours of the court, including the Happy Slam’s signature sky blue, and finished with silky milk foam for an eye-catching, layered effect.
The Tennis Colada brings a hit of tropical sunshine, pairing pineapple-infused tea with a soft banana milk foam that feels tailor-made for steamy January afternoons. For something sharper, the Lawn Tennis Cooler mixes a lychee yoghurt slushie base with green kiwi milk foam, delivering a tangy, ice-cold refresh that cuts straight through the heat. Rounding out the line-up is Courting You, a vibrant blend of mango and passionfruit-infused tea with butterfly pea tea adding its striking blue hue.

These drinks take the humble iced tea and elevate it into something closer to a dessert-in-a-cup, making them an ideal pit stop before heading to Melbourne Park or a sweet reward on the way home.
Available exclusively at Miilk Cake Studio’s Swanston Street store until February 1, the tennis-themed menu is a limited-time serve, and a colourful way to sip your way through the Australian Open season.
