Mother’s Day plans are filling fast across Melbourne, with Mary Eats Cake opening bookings for its annual high tea experience across two locations this May.
The popular high tea specialist will host multiple sessions on Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May, offering a curated menu designed to turn a simple outing into a full celebration. With seatings at 10am, 1pm and 4pm, families are being urged to lock in their preferred time early as spots are limited.

Known for its polished service and generous spreads, Mary Eats Cake has built a reputation for delivering one of the city’s most indulgent high tea offerings. This year’s Mother’s Day package includes a mix of savoury favourites and refined sweets, alongside bottomless scones served with jam and cream.
On the menu, guests can expect items like beef burgundy pie, cheesy potato croquettes, chicken finger sandwiches and a citrus prawn loaf. The sweet lineup features raspberry and lychee eclairs, chocolate hazelnut entremet and mango matcha tart, plus macarons and a dedicated Mother’s Day cookie.
Drinks are also part of the experience, with unlimited specialty tea, a glass of French sparkling on arrival and a cocktail or mocktail included in the package.

Priced at $97 for adults and $59 for children, the experience is designed to cater to the whole family, whether it’s a relaxed catch-up or a more formal celebration.
Guests can choose between two venues, with one located on Sydney Road in Brunswick and the other in Montrose at the foothills of Mount Dandenong, offering a quieter escape on the city’s edge.
