Mary Eats Cake is bringing back its Scone Festival this June, turning a familiar afternoon treat into something a little more playful across Melbourne. Running from Wednesday 3 June to Sunday 28 June 2026, the month long event invites guests to build, mix and match their own scone creations or lean into curated combinations from the kitchen team.

At the centre of the experience is customisation, with guests choosing from fluffy house made scone bases, rich condiments and colourful toppings that turn every plate into something slightly different. It is part tea ritual, part creative experiment, with no two combinations quite the same.
The festival runs across both the Dandenong Ranges tea room and the Brunswick venue, each offering its own take on the experience from cosy mountain surrounds to a more city focused setting. Mary Eats Cake continues to build a reputation for its generous high teas and seasonal events that lean into comfort and creativity.

Guests can expect rotating flavours, limited edition scones and small batch specials across the month, making it worth returning more than once. It is designed for catch ups, slow afternoons and anyone looking to turn winter tea into something a little more memorable.
