Spiderbait will hit the road this July, marking 30 years since the release of their breakthrough album Ivy & the big apples with a national tour that includes a Melbourne stop at The Forum on Friday 24 July where they’ll be supported by Magic Dirt and The Gnomes.
The tour centres on a full live performance o their album Ivy & the big apples, the 1996 record that pushed Spiderbait into the mainstream. The album debuted in the ARIA Top 3, reached Double Platinum and stayed in the charts for nearly a year, driven by tracks like Calypso, Hot Water & Milk and Buy Me A Pony.

“Stoked to be touring Ivy & the big apples his year for her 30th birthday,” the band said in a statement.
“Such an important album for us with lots of epic memories… like Pony winning the Hottest 100 & Janet singing Calypso. So to play the record live in its entirety around the nation will be mega.”
The anniversary also brings a vinyl reissue, with the Ivy & the big apples 30th Anniversary Edition LP landing on 3 July.
Spiderbait have built a career spanning more than three decades, releasing seven albums and collecting multiple ARIA Awards along the way. Their catalogue continues to reach new audiences, with millions of streams globally each year.
Their last national tour in 2024 drew strong demand, celebrating Tonight Alright and its hit Black Betty with a run of high-energy shows that saw the band add extra dates.
Tickets go on sale at 1pm local time on Friday 17 April, with a Frontier Touring presale available from 12 noon on Thursday 16 April via ticketek.com.au.
