Oakwood Premier Melbourne is marking Australian Wine Month this May with a series of relaxed Friday evening tastings at its Oak Lounge.
Running each Friday, the program brings together a rotating lineup of wineries from across the country, offering guests the chance to explore different regions in a casual, drop-in format. Open to both hotel guests and the public, the sessions are designed to be flexible, with no bookings required.
Each evening follows a three-part format, starting with a casual tasting from 5 to 6pm, followed by a guided session or mini masterclass between 6 and 7pm. The night then shifts into a more social setting from 7 to 8pm, with food pairings and drinks.
Victorian producers feature strongly across the lineup, including Bidja Wines on 1 May, Hirsch Hill on 15 May and Sir Paz on 22 May.
Guests attending can also access special offers on the night, including discounts on wine purchases and takeaway deals.
Set in the heart of Southbank, the series offers an easy way to wind down at the end of the week while discovering new wines.
Oakwood Melbourne is at 202 Normanby Street Southbank.
