Global K-pop superstars BTS are officially heading back to Australia, with Melbourne set to host two huge stadium shows as part of the newly announced BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’.
The Australian leg of the tour will kick off at Marvel Stadium on Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13 before the group heads to Sydney for performances at Accor Stadium on February 20 and 21.
Promoted by Live Nation Australia, the Asia and Australia dates form part of what is already shaping up to be the biggest K-pop tour ever staged and the largest tour in BTS’ career. The massive global run spans 34 regions and 85 shows worldwide, with the group already drawing enormous crowds across North America following a string of sold-out performances in South Korea and Japan.
Demand for tickets has already been intense overseas, with BTS selling out 41 stadium dates across North America, Europe and the UK, moving nearly 2.4 million tickets so far. Additional shows added during presales in cities including Tampa, Stanford and Las Vegas also sold out almost immediately.
The tour’s production features an immersive 360-degree in-the-round stage setup designed to place fans closer to the action while expanding stadium capacity.
For Melbourne fans, the announcement marks BTS’ first headline tour together since the hugely successful PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE run, which previously sold out shows across Seoul, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Australian ticket sales begin Tuesday, June 2 through the ARMY MEMBERSHIP PRESALE, with general public tickets going on sale Thursday, June 4. Fans hoping to access presale tickets must register their GLOBAL ARMY MEMBERSHIP through Weverse before the deadline.
