Forget the studio for a weekend and take your workout somewhere a little more unexpected, with Pilates and yoga sessions set to transform the middle of Marvel Stadium into a morning wellness space.
Pilates on the Turf takes place on Saturday 12 September, followed by Yoga on the Turf on Sunday 13 September, giving Melburnians the chance to move, stretch and reset surrounded by the scale of the Docklands stadium.
Both sessions are suitable for all experience levels, whether you’re a regular at the gym or looking to try something different.
Saturday’s 45-minute guided Pilates session is focused on strength, mobility and mindful movement, with the class running from 7.30am to 9am. Afterward, you can stick around for a coffee, smoothie or healthy breakfast snack from food and drink pop-ups on the turf.
Sunday’s yoga session offers a slower start to the day, with a 45-minute guided practice designed to help you move, breathe and recharge.
Both sessions cost $35 per person and entry is via Stadium Square at Gates 2 and 3. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the session and bring a yoga mat, water bottle and comfortable clothing.
The open-air setting offers a chance to enjoy the stadium from an entirely different perspective, whether you’re joining friends or heading along solo.
Pilates on the Turf takes place on Saturday 12 September, while Yoga on the Turf takes place on Sunday 13 September, with both sessions running from 7.30am to 9am. Tickets are available here.
