The Bellarine Peninsula’s blues scene will heat up this winter, with The Blues Train launching its newest spin-off event, The Blues Train Presents – Off-Track Blues Sessions, at Queenscliff Town Hall on Saturday, 8 August 2026.
Bringing the spirit of The Blues Train to a new setting, the one-off event will deliver an afternoon of live blues and roots music featuring some of Australia’s most exciting performers.
Headlining the inaugural Off-Track Blues Sessions will be high-energy touring outfit 19-Twenty, known for their explosive live shows and reputation as one of the country’s most electrifying acts. The band has appeared at major festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Blues on Broadbeach, while performing at more than 70 festivals across Australia.
Joining the lineup is Melbourne blues outfit Phil Coyne & The Wayward Aces, bringing their harp-driven take on Australian blues. Led by blues harp player Phil Coyne, the band features Morgan Klose on guitar, Dale “Gloveboy” Lindrea on bass and Will Harris on drums, with acclaimed releases including Sound & Fury and Live at MBAS.
Rounding out the lineup is Melbourne singer-songwriter Anna Scionti, a celebrated slide guitar performer known for her work across cigar box guitar, resonator, lap steel and six-string guitar. The 2023 Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society Blues Performer of the Year (Solo/Duo) has also represented the organisation at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
The event will transform Queenscliff Town Hall into an intimate blues venue while The Blues Train takes its winter break, offering fans the chance to experience the music in a new setting.
The Blues Train Presents – Off-Track Blues Sessions takes place on Saturday, 8 August 2026, with doors opening at 3.15pm and music starting at 4pm. Tickets are $99 per person.
