Fatboy Slim is swapping massive festival stages for some of Australia’s more unusual spaces when he returns for a seven-date tour in March 2027, including two nights at Melbourne’s new outdoor venue The Underpass.
The UK DJ, aka Norman Cook, will bring his famously energetic live show to Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with each stop offering a very different setting.
The tour kicks off at Fremantle’s Esplanade Park on Wednesday 3 March before Cook heads to Sydney for three nights at heritage-listed Carriageworks.
He will then take over Brisbane’s South Bank Forecourt for On The Banks before finishing the Australian run with two shows at The Underpass in West Melbourne on Friday 12 March and Saturday 13 March.
“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!” Fatboy Slim said.
“Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”
The tour follows a huge year for Cook, who has played Coachella’s Quasar stage, four nights on Brighton Beach and a closing set at Rock in Rio in Brazil.
Fans can expect Fatboy Slim staples including Praise You, Right Here, Right Now, The Rockafeller Skank and Weapon Of Choice, alongside newer tracks including Satisfaction Skank and Funk Drunk.
With more than three decades of turning unconventional spaces into dancefloors, Cook’s latest Australian shows promise a closer-to-the-crowd experience than his usual arena and festival appearances.
Presale tickets go on sale from 9am local time on Monday 14 September, with general tickets available from 9am Tuesday 15 September.
