An immersive dining experience straight from a galaxy far, far away is landing in Melbourne -and it’s unlike anything Australia has seen before.
On 7 June 2025, the Star Wars Galactic Café will open at Melbourne Museum, offering fans the chance to step aboard a Corellian Star Cruiser and feast like a Jedi.
In a collaboration between Museums Victoria, The Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand, and Lucasfilm, this pop-up café is the first of its kind in Australia. Set in the heart of Carlton Gardens, the café invites diners of all ages to indulge in a menu inspired by the legendary saga – yes, including iconic blue milk.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe before or after exploring LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition, creating a full sensory experience unlike anything previously offered at the museum.
“The Star Wars Galactic Café showcases Museums Victoria’s expertise in creating rich, sensory experiences – taking visitors on a deliciously immersive, intergalactic journey,” said Lynley Crosswell, Chief Executive Officer and Director, Museums Victoria.
“Combining world-class hospitality with the timeless appeal of the Star Wars galaxy, the Star Wars Galactic Café offers Melbourne Museum’s visitors yet another way to engage with this premier exhibition, in a cosmically cool atmosphere.”

The menu, set to be fully revealed soon, promises something for everyone, with themed dishes designed to excite both diehard fans and the Star Wars curious.
“Whether you’re a lifelong Jedi or new to the Force, the Star Wars Galactic Café promises an unforgettable experience that will satisfy your hunger for adventure and delight,” said Tim Everett, VP & GM of Disney Consumer Products Australia & New Zealand.
“It’s a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the cultural phenomenon that is Star Wars.”
