Melbourne’s social scene is getting a healthy glow-up this month as Wellness Social Club launches ASCENSION: The Ultimate Sober Sauna Rave, a first-of-its-kind event combining electronic beats, sound healing, and hot-and-cold therapy for a hangover-free night out.
Tapping into the global “soft clubbing” trend, where kombucha replaces cocktails and mindfulness trumps mayhem, ASCENSION promises a new way to party — one that leaves guests energised, not exhausted. The event is happening on Friday 28 November 2025 in Preston.

“There is a shift happening right now around the world, soft clubbing is replacing beers and bars and kombucha is the new vodka-soda. Younger generations are seeking healthier, hangover-free experiences when going out,” said a Wellness Social Club spokesperson.
Designed to create a natural high through sound, movement and recovery, the event invites guests to dance, detox and connect in a judgment-free zone. “We are building a community of like-minded individuals who want to express themselves in a judgment free zone whilst taking care of their mind, body and soul,” the spokesperson said.
The curated experience features a live set from DJ Julie Jones, whose hypnotic rhythms drive the dancefloor, paired with immersive sound baths by Awarewolves — a duo known for their primal didgeridoo and hoop drum soundscapes.

Guests can expect a blend of wellness and connection, including guided sauna sessions set to music, invigorating cold plunges, non-alcoholic drinks such as kombucha and alcohol-free beer, and playful icebreakers to spark genuine connection.
“We are getting ahead of the trend so you can be the first to own it,” said the spokesperson. “Athletes, parents who have the Saturday sport run and creatives are all lining up for this new experience, why not come be part of the movement?”
“We are inviting Melburnians to come experience a new type of sesh, one that will leave you feeling refreshed, recharged and buzzing with a natural high.”
