TISM have announced an exclusive hometown headline show in Melbourne, marking their first local performance since their epic performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in 2024. Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, the band will play PICA in Port Melbourne for what they are calling a “one-off show not to be performed anywhere else.”
The Melbourne date follows TISM’s first-ever appearances at the Sydney Opera House, where they performed their breakthrough 1995 album, Machiavelli And The Four Seasons, in full. Originally set for a single April 10 show, overwhelming demand prompted a second performance on April 12.

Released on May 1, 1995, Machiavelli And The Four Seasons was TISM’s third studio album and their commercial breakthrough. Building on two earlier albums and several EPs, it combined electronic music with pub rock, while the band’s satirical lyrics and subversive style captured widespread attention across Australia.
The announcement came after several days of speculation and fan consultation about which venue the band should play.
“Many venues were suggested,” read a message from TISM’s mailing list, “But it’s NOT your nan’s living room at the Long Island Retirement Village in Seaforth.”
Dubbed Wankers Of The World, Unite!, the show’s poster references the band’s 1990 Hot Dogma era, though it is unclear whether the performance will include material from that record.
Tickets go on sale at 11am AEDT on Friday, February 13, with a pre-sale available from 11am AEDT on Wednesday, February 11.
