If you’re after something a bit more considered than a quick drink, DOLLY at Le Méridien Melbourne is rolling out a limited cocktail menu for National Cocktail Day that leans into mood as much as flavour.
Running from March 24 to 28, Postcards from France is a six-drink lineup inspired by different places and moments across France. Think early evening in Bordeaux, late nights in Paris, or that in-between stretch of après-ski in the Alps. Each cocktail comes with a short vignette tied to its setting, giving the menu more of a narrative feel than a standard list.

The drinks themselves follow that theme. The Lillet Spritz sets the tone as an opening drink, while Coastal Drift pulls from the laid-back pace of Saint-Tropez. Alpine Bloom looks to Chamonix and the rituals that come after a day on the slopes. From Paris, Le Boulevard Noir leans into the city’s late-night energy, alongside a French Martini that tracks the rhythm of a long dinner by the Seine.
Each cocktail is paired with a suggested dish from the menu, encouraging you to move through the night in stages rather than stopping at one round. It’s a small detail, but it shapes the experience into something closer to a full evening out.

The menu runs for five nights only, with cocktails priced at $18, or $15 for Marriott Bonvoy members.
If you’re already planning dinner or just want a well-made drink in a different setting, it’s a solid excuse to drop in.
