Pint of Origin returns to Melbourne from 15 to 24 May 2026, once again turning the city into a multi-venue beer trail. This year’s program spans 22 pubs, bars and breweries, pouring around 800 beers from more than 200 producers across Australia and overseas.
Rather than a single festival site, Pint of Origin is designed to be explored. Each venue represents a specific region, from local neighbourhoods to international beer hubs including Japan, the USA, the UK, New Zealand and Europe. The format encourages people to move between locations, building their own path through the city over ten days.
Many of the beers on offer have been brewed specifically for the festival or are appearing in Australia for the first time. Alongside the taps, venues will host a mix of events including food pairings, trivia nights, run clubs, tap takeovers and collaboration launches, giving each stop its own identity.
The festival began in 2012 as part of Good Beer Week and has since grown into a standalone event under The Crafty Pint, while keeping its focus on independent breweries and venue-led programming.
Most venues operate without an entry fee, with visitors paying per beer or opting into ticketed sessions. A digital passport system will also return, offering incentives and bonus pours for those who visit multiple locations. Curated mini crawls help group venues by area, making it easier to plan a route.
Two guided crawls are scheduled, including a Central Crawl on 16 May and a West Crawl on 17 May, both led in collaboration with The Crafty Pint team.
From neighbourhood pubs to specialist bars, Pint of Origin continues to showcase Melbourne’s depth as a beer city.
