Irish pop giants Westlife are officially returning to Australia for the first time in two decades, with the group confirming a massive 2027 arena tour to celebrate 25 years of chart-topping hits.
The newly announced Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour will bring the band to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 20 July 2027 as part of a nationwide run across Australia and New Zealand.

The anniversary tour coincides with the release of 25 – The Ultimate Collection, a career-spanning compilation featuring some of the group’s biggest songs. Fans heading to the Melbourne show can expect a packed setlist loaded with classics including My Love, Swear It Again, Uptown Girl and If I Let You Go, alongside songs spanning the band’s entire catalogue.
At their peak, Westlife became one of the biggest pop acts in the world, selling more than 55 million records globally and earning 14 UK number one singles. Across their 25-year career, the group has also accumulated more than 3 billion streams and sold over 6 million concert tickets worldwide.
The band said returning to Australia and New Zealand was long overdue.
“We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we last toured in Australia and New Zealand, so it only felt right that we should come back and celebrate our 25th Anniversary together.”
“We have always loved coming back to this part of the world as the fans have always made our trips so memorable and special – you have the loudest fans in the world! The 25th Anniversary show will be our most exciting and ambitious to date and of course, we will be performing all of the hits. Australia and New Zealand – we cannot wait to see you!”
The Australian leg begins in Perth before heading through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, before crossing to Auckland and Christchurch.
Given the band’s enduring popularity and the length of time since their last local tour, tickets are expected to move quickly once sales open.
