1 Hotel Melbourne is turning up the glamour for Pride Month this June, teaming up with iconic queer party collective POOF DOOF for an extravagant drag luncheon celebrating community, self-expression and Melbourne’s LGBTQIA+ culture.
Taking place on Saturday 13 June at the hotel’s Crane Bar & Lounge, the afternoon event will feature a lineup of drag performers including Isis Avis Loren, Max Drag Queen and Jimi the Kween, alongside DJs Nic Holland and Hayley Maree Mix keeping the dance floor moving well into the afterparty.
The event forms part of the hotel’s Together as 1 Pride Month program, which focuses on inclusivity, creativity and celebrating Melbourne’s diverse cultural scene.
Guests can expect a high-energy afternoon of performances, flowing drinks and elevated bites curated by the team behind From Here by Mike. The roaming canapé menu includes Port Phillip Bay fish rillette tartlets, free range chicken karaage bao with wasabi mayo, Victorian beef empanadas and baby burrata paired with pickled Victorian figs. Desserts include Yarra Valley raspberry cheesecake and dulce de leche mini magnums coated in milk chocolate.
Bottomless drinks are also part of the experience, with mimosas, sparkling brut, Stomping Ground Pride Ale and a signature Pride Punch available throughout the luncheon.
Known nationally for creating bold and inclusive queer spaces, POOF DOOF has become one of Australia’s most recognisable LGBTQIA+ entertainment brands, regularly delivering large-scale events, club nights and Pride celebrations across the country.
The Together as 1: POOF DOOF Drag Luncheon runs from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday 13 June, with the afterparty continuing until 5pm. Tickets are available to purchase here.
