After a run of sold-out performances and overwhelming fan response, Diesel is taking his audience-powered By Request tour back on the road this spring, with 22 shows set to roll through regional Victoria and New South Wales.
The unique format has become one of the most talked-about live experiences on the touring circuit, putting fans firmly in control of the night’s soundtrack. Before each show, audiences are invited to submit the songs they want to hear, whether they’re Diesel classics, deep album cuts or even cover versions.
The result is a different setlist every night, creating a live experience that feels personal, spontaneous and completely unpredictable.
The tour will make its way through regional centres including Barwon Heads, Hepburn Springs, Echuca, Swan Hill, Traralgon, Bendigo, Hamilton, Lorne, Ballarat and Cowes, giving Victorian audiences another chance to experience the format that has become a favourite among longtime fans.
“The longer we do these shows, the more I realise just how much fun it is handing over the reins,” says Diesel.
“I love the light and shade that the requests are bringing to my show, from Hendrix to Gershwin, getting to play a classic like ‘Moon River’ and ‘Stay’ by Rihanna was not on my bingo card before By Request! I can’t wait to see what songs are requested for this next run of shows!”
For Diesel, the tour has become more than a concert series, evolving into a shared musical journey between artist and audience.
