Jimmy Eat World are returning to Australia this December to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark album Bleed American, with Melbourne set to host one of just four special anniversary performances.
The acclaimed alt-rock band will perform the beloved album in full, alongside a selection of fan favourites, when they take to the stage at Margaret Court Arena on Friday 11 December.
Originally released in 2001 through DreamWorks Records, Bleed American became a defining album of the early 2000s rock scene. It earned widespread critical acclaim and propelled Jimmy Eat World onto the global stage, thanks in part to the enduring success of The Middle, which recently joined Spotify’s Billion Streams Club.

Speaking about revisiting the record on tour, lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins said, “I feel like at this time in our lives, especially for me, it’s important to get back to a place that you can savour. This tour is designed to be an elevated version of our show, a heightened experience with production that reflects 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment.”
Joining Jimmy Eat World on the Australian tour are special guests Ruby Fields and A. Swayze & The Ghosts.
The anniversary tour begins in Sydney before heading to Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, giving Australian fans a rare opportunity to experience one of the genre’s most influential albums performed live from start to finish.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am AEST on Tuesday 14 July until 10am AEST on Thursday 16 July. General public tickets go on sale from 11am AEST on Thursday 16 July.
