Just in time for Spring picnics, Melbourne icon, the Studley Park Boathouse, is set to re-open on Thursday 31 August after receiving a multi-million dollar reno.
The historic building was established in 1863 and has been a favourite spot for Melburnians for more than 160 years. The renovations will include a multi-level outdoor deck, a pizzeria and a pop-up gelato cart.
This unique place provides a slice of yesteryear grandeur in a bush setting with views of the Yarra, so close to the CBD.
The Boathouse is running celebratory activities over its first three weekends of reopening. Every Saturday and Sunday from 2-17 September, between 2-4pm you can experience:
- Complimentary boat hire sessions (spaces are limited, so make sure you reserve your spot)
- Welcome drink on arrival
- Live entertainment
- Kids entertainment every Sunday
- Roving woodfired pizzas
There will also be free kids ice-cream all day long from the SPB Ice-Creamery!
Bookings from 31 August and beyond are now being taken on the website.
