Melbourne is bringing back the 90s with a pop-up video store speakeasy! Opening on 27 August, this immersive event will transport you back to the days of VHS tapes, neon lights, and hidden cinematic gems.
Inspired by the iconic Blockbuster Video stores, the 90s Video Store Speakeasy will capture the essence of a bygone era where renting movies was a mainstay of your Friday night.
You’ll step into a meticulously recreated 90s video store, complete with rows of VHS tapes, retro movie posters, and vintage memorabilia. The ambience is designed to evoke cherished memories and introduce a new generation to the magic of a pre-streaming entertainment era.
Features include:
- A hidden lounge where you can unwind, sip on creatively crafted cocktails inspired by classic films, and engage in conversations with fellow movie enthusiasts.
- Curated movie nights featuring beloved 90’s classics projected on a big screen.
- Themed events, trivia nights, and costume parties.
