The annual Cherry Blossom Festival at Cherryhill Orchards in the Yarra Valley kicks off this weekend, with a fortnight of blossom viewing and cherry related activities for the cherry enthusiasts out there.
You can wander through 85 acres of blossoming cherry trees in the established Wandin East orchard and take lots of stunning photos.
The cherry trees in the orchard burst into bloom at different intervals during the festival, their schedules dictated by the whims of Mother Nature and the specific tree varieties.
Of course there are plenty of other things to do while you are there. This year there is a partnership with Mary Eats Cake to offer participants luxury High Tea experiences, while nestled among private rows of blossoms.
There are also mid-week wine and dine packages in conjunction with Rochford Wines. And if that’s not enough there are flower crown making workshops, candle making workshops, smartphone photography workshops and a range of other experiences on offer.
The Cherry Blossom Festival runs from 16 September to 1 October at Cherryhill Orchards, 474 Queens Rd Wandin East, VIC 3139.
