The first announcement of artists who’ll be appearing at the 2025 Port Fairy Music Festival has been dropped today, with a huge range of renowned folk musicians from around the world ready to descend upon the stunning seaside destination of Port Fairy over the March long weekend.
The artists confirmed so far for the 48th Port Fairy Folk Festival are:

Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said this first line-up for the 2025 event covers many genres and styles but is drawn from the festival’s roots.
‘Our audience is the inspiration behind this first artist line-up for 2025. These first 17 artists span many genres, but are united in their passion, creativity and joy – which is what we want to share with our Folkies,” Justin said.
“From the exquisite fingerpicking style of John Smith to the wonderful ballads of Missy Higgins, we will have a program for everyone. Great music, great experiences and great musicians are at the heart of this festival – book a ticket!’ he said.
Port Fairy Folk Festival takes place in Port Fairy, Victoria from 7 – 10 March 2025.
