Phillip Island is gearing up for a huge day of live music, with Ocean Sounds Festival officially locking in its return for summer 2027. The all-day event lands on Saturday 9 January, transforming the coastal destination into a laid-back celebration of Australian music, food and seaside vibes.
Set against the island’s scenic backdrop, the family-friendly festival has built a reputation for pairing big-name local acts with a relaxed atmosphere that feels worlds away from the usual packed-city festival experience. Think picnic rugs spread across the grass, gourmet food trucks, regional wines flowing and live music carrying into the sunset.

Leading the 2027 lineup is Australian favourite Missy Higgins, bringing a catalogue packed with singalong staples including Scar, The Special Two and Steer. Punk-rock icons The Living End are also on board, promising an energetic set filled with classics like Prisoner of Society and Roll On, while Pete Murray returns fresh off his chart-topping 2025 album Longing.
The lineup also features Sunshine and Disco Faith Choir, rising artist RAGEFLOWER, alt-rock group Selve led by Jabirr Jabirr man Loki Liddle, and Phillip Island local Elly Poletti, who recently impressed audiences on The Voice.
Ocean Sounds continues to carve out its own space on Victoria’s summer festival calendar by leaning into a slower, more relaxed pace. Rather than rushing between stages, festivalgoers are encouraged to settle in for the day, soak up the coastal atmosphere and enjoy quality live music with friends and family.
Presale tickets go live on Tuesday 9 June at 8:30am, with general sale following on Wednesday 10 June at 8:30am. Fans who sign up for presale access will also go in the running to win a helicopter flight, festival tickets and luxury accommodation. Ticket information available here.
