Electronic music duo Peking Duk have announced the carpark of Bunnings in Preston will be the site of the promised Bunnings Rave following a viral social media campaign championed by the pair last month.
The outdoor party will take place at Bunnings 64-74 Bell Street Preston on Saturday 31 August and will be an alcohol-free event for ages 16 plus for three hours from 5:30-8:30pm on the day.
The pair made the announcement on Instagram ‘The Bunnings Rave is confirmed,’ they said. ‘The line up’s going to have some of the best Aussie talent available, including the guy that started everything.’
Peking Duk will be taking to the stage at the rave along with Kalia whose EDM remix of the Bunnings Warehouse jingle started the viral campaign off. What So Not, DJ Nay Nay and DJ Lottie who works at Bunnings will also perform.
Peking Duk have promised there will be a sausage sizzle, perch and face painting at the rave, with all proceeds from the event going to Support Act – an organisation that provides crisis relief, mental health and wellbeing support to people in the music industry.
Tickets will cost $30 and headlining musicians are providing their time and art for free. They go on sale at 10am Thursday 16 August via moshtix.
