The world’s biggest digital art gallery, THE LUME is bringing back the works of Vincent Van Gogh, in an exciting new format called Finding Vincent. This immersive experience follows the massive success of the original Van Gogh Alive show, which was a record-breaking hit when it came to Melbourne three years ago.
This multi-sensory exhibit will bring to life 880 of Van Gogh’s masterpieces, projected digitally across four-storey-high walls in chronological order, allowing visitors to follow his artistic journey.
These stunning visuals will be accompanied by dynamic soundscapes, curated scents, and tactile elements, creating a truly immersive environment.
This time around, visitors can expect an even more engaging experience, featuring virtual reality that will allow guests to “step into” Van Gogh’s most iconic paintings. Some highlights include the immersive Sunflower Room and the Starry Night installation, offering a chance to feel surrounded by the artist’s vibrant world.
There will also be interactive spaces like an artist’s studio where you can experiment with Van Gogh’s techniques, and the historically themed Café Terrace 1888, inspired by his famous painting Café Terrace at Night.
This latest Van Gogh exhibition at THE LUME is set to surpass its previous run, blending art and technology in a way that is both innovative and deeply engaging. Tickets are on sale now.
The current exhibition at THE LUME, Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius, will close on 8 December 2024, so you have a few weeks left to catch it before it is gone for good.
