Metallica has confirmed that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be coming to Australia and New Zealand in November 2025. In Melbourne you’ll be able to catch them at Marvel Stadium on 8 November 2025.
This leg of the M72 World Tour will see the band visit stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.
These dates will feature Metallica performing at the end of each stadium and will include the infamous Snake Pit extending from the front of the stage.

Metallica is a legendary American heavy metal band formed in 1981 by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield.
Widely regarded as pioneers of thrash metal, the band achieved worldwide fame with albums like Master of Puppets (1986) and The Black Album (1991), which included hits like “Enter Sandman” and “Nothing Else Matters.” Known for their aggressive riffs, powerful performances, and complex compositions,
Metallica has become one of the best-selling music acts of all time. They’ve continued to evolve over decades, influencing countless artists and maintaining a passionate global fanbase.
Support on M72’s 2025 Australia/New Zealand shows will come from Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies.
There will be a full complement of Enhanced Experiences available, ranging from access to a meet and greet, production and stage tour, food and beverage in the “Black Box” lounge, early entry into the venue, and the aforementioned Snake Pit.
The very popular “I Disappear Ticket” will also be available, which enables fans to attend to all six shows in Australia and New Zealand, and travel packages including tickets and hotel will be available in four of the six cities.
Tickets for the newly announced shows will be on sale Monday, November 4th at 12 PM local time. Fan club pre-sales begin Tuesday, October 29th. For further information, pre-sale times, enhanced experiences, I Disappear Tickets, travel packages and more, go to http://metallica.lnk.to/M72-AU-NZ-2025
