Irish pop rock favourites The Script are officially heading back to Australia, confirming three east coast arena shows for March 2027 as part of their latest global tour with Frontier Touring. This includes a stop at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 27 March.
The return marks the band’s twelfth Australian headline tour and arrives alongside the announcement of their upcoming album, The User’s Guide To Being Human, due for release on 14 August through BMG Australia.
The new tour takes its name from the recently released single Man In The Arena, which signals a fresh chapter for the Dublin group after a period of major personal and creative change. More than two decades into their career, The Script remain one of Australia’s most consistent international touring acts, with hits including Hall Of Fame, Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved continuing to resonate strongly with local audiences.
Frontman Danny O’Donoghue said Australia continues to hold a special place for the band.
“We can’t wait to take our worldwide tour back to Australia again,” O’Donoghue said. “We have such a long-standing friendship with our fans and Frontier Touring, it feels like home away from home. Get ready for another banging show!”
The upcoming album also carries emotional weight following the death of co-founder Mark Sheehan in 2023. O’Donoghue described songwriting as his way of processing grief, loss and personal experiences, with the new material shaped heavily by the events of recent years.
The current touring lineup now includes Benjamin Sargeant, Ben Weaver and Adam Marcello as the band continues to evolve while maintaining the songwriting identity that helped launch them onto global charts in the late 2000s.
Before arriving in Australia next year, The Script will continue touring through Europe, Asia and the UK, alongside support appearances with Take That and Luke Combs.
