Scottish pop-rock legends Simple Minds are heading back to Australia in February 2027 for a national arena tour celebrating five decades of hits, anthems and unforgettable live moments.
No strangers to Australian audiences, the hitmakers last toured locally in 2024 as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour alongside ICEHOUSE, with packed side shows at venues including Melbourne’s Palais Theatre and the Sydney Opera House.
Now, the band is returning with its 2027 V Tour, promising a panoramic live experience spanning 50 years of music. Fans can expect a setlist stacked with era-defining tracks including Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive and Kicking, Waterfront and Belfast Child.
Frontman Jim Kerr said the band’s connection to local fans remains as strong as ever, with the thrill of performing in Australia and New Zealand never fading.
The tour kicks off at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday 13 February before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Melbourne fans can catch the band live at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday 18 February.
Joining the tour as special guest is electronic music pioneer Gary Numan, returning to Australia for the first time in a decade. Best known for influential tracks Are ‘Friends’ Electric and Cars, Numan’s genre-blending sound helped shape modern electronic and alternative music.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday 18 June at 9am local time, with general public tickets available from Friday 19 June via Destroy All Lines.
