Shepparton is set to become the next regional stop on ALWAYS LIVE’s travelling Victorian Vibes series, with the free live music event landing in the Goulburn Valley on Saturday 13 June.
The roaming music series has been bringing surprise pop-up performances to towns across Victoria, transforming local spaces into live music hubs packed with crowds, food and community atmosphere. Its latest stop in Bendigo drew strong crowds from across the Goldfields region, with performances from Matt Corby, King Stingray, Queenie and local artist Emma Gleeson helping turn the afternoon into one of the series’ biggest events yet.
Now attention shifts north to Shepparton, a city with a long-standing connection to live music and a growing creative scene that makes it a fitting backdrop for the next instalment.
ALWAYS LIVE CEO Psyche Payne said the response from regional communities so far had exceeded expectations.
“Bendigo was something else – we’ve been blown away by the reception we’ve received in every town visited thus far and can’t wait to experience Shepparton’s energy in the coming weeks,” Payne said.
As with previous Victorian Vibes events, organisers are keeping the exact location and artist lineup under wraps until closer to the day. Attendees who register online will receive performance details and event information in the lead-up to the show.
Victorian Vibes has quickly built a reputation for turning ordinary public spaces into lively music gatherings, with crowds encouraged to explore local cafés, bars, restaurants and retailers while visiting each host town.
Treasurer and Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the event would help shine a spotlight on the wider Goulburn Valley region.
“Shepparton is the perfect backdrop for the next chapter of ALWAYS LIVE Victorian Vibes, offering visitors an incredible mix of music, culture, food and regional hospitality.”
The Victorian Vibes series will continue across regional Victoria every second weekend through June, with more destinations still to be announced.
