Popular Pan Asian restaurant Bang Bang has officially landed in Frankston, opening its largest venue to date and bringing late-night dining, cocktails and DJs to the bayside suburb.
Taking over a spacious site on Playne Street, the new restaurant seats up to 134 guests across indoor dining, outdoor seating and the bar, adding another major player to Frankston’s growing food scene.

Known for its energetic atmosphere and bold Asian-inspired menu, Bang Bang has built a loyal following since first opening in 2016, and the Frankston expansion marks a major next step for the brand.
The new venue also introduces something completely new for Bang Bang with the launch of After Dark, a late-night concept running every Friday and Saturday. As the evening progresses, the restaurant shifts from dinner destination into a dance floor driven by disco, funk and retro-inspired DJ sets, encouraging guests to settle in long after their meal finishes.

A dedicated After Dark menu will keep the kitchen running late, with snacks like prawn toast, chicken bao, spring rolls and eggplant skewers designed to pair with cocktails and drinks.
Executive Chef Dan Poyner continues to lead the kitchen, drawing inspiration from Japanese, Thai and Indian flavours across the menu. Signature dishes including Crispy Fried Sichuan Eggplant, 12 Hour Beef Brisket Gua Bao, Butter Chicken Curry and Twice Cooked Pork Belly all feature, alongside newer additions like Beef Short Rib, Katsu Sando and Atlantic Salmon.

For groups, Bang Bang’s Feed Me menus offer curated shared dining experiences, while the drinks list leans heavily into playful cocktails including the Chilli Chilli Bang Bang and Midnight Rose.
The venue also runs a daily Bang Bang Hour with discounted oysters, cocktails, wine and beers.
Bang Bang is at 24 Playne St, Frankston VIC 3199. Website: https://www.bangbangeats.com.au/
