Winter is set to arrive in full force at Dandenong Market when Winter Feast returns on Sunday 19 July, bringing free ice skating, comforting food and family-friendly entertainment to Melbourne’s south east.
Running from 10am to 3pm, the one-day event will transform the market’s southern carpark into a festive winter hub packed with seasonal experiences. Whether you’re looking for a family day out, a weekend food adventure or simply an excuse to embrace the colder weather, Winter Feast offers plenty of reasons to rug up and head outdoors.
The headline attraction is a free pop-up ice skating rink, giving visitors the chance to glide across the ice without spending a cent. Open to skaters of all ages and experience levels, the rink is expected to be one of the day’s most popular attractions.
Away from the ice, food lovers can explore a tempting selection of winter favourites. Market traders and food vendors will be serving everything from hearty bowls of gnocchi and steaming momos to smoky American barbecue, alongside sweet treats including crepes and rich hot chocolates.
A live DJ will provide the soundtrack throughout the day, creating a lively atmosphere while visitors browse the market’s more than 120 traders. Families can also take advantage of free face painting, adding an extra layer of fun for younger visitors.
Part market day, part winter festival, Winter Feast combines shopping, entertainment and comfort food into a single event that celebrates the best parts of Melbourne’s colder months.
With free entry, free skating and plenty of warming food on offer, it is shaping up to be one of the season’s most enjoyable winter outings.
