Marvel Stadium has unveiled a brand-new fan experience, with the Walk of Legends officially opening today – a permanent new attraction celebrating some of the comic giant Marvel’s most beloved characters.
Located along the stadium concourse outside Gate 4, the Walk of Legends features specially designed plaques honouring fan-favourite Marvel heroes. New characters will be unveiled every two weeks throughout July and August, with the full collection to be revealed ahead of the Four’N Twenty Legends Game for Prostate Cancer on Thursday 27 August.
The custom plaques have been created by acclaimed Australian artist Wayne Nichols, adding a local touch to the unique installation.
The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand Senior Vice President and Managing Director Kylie Watson-Wheeler said Marvel Stadium had become the home of Marvel fandom in Australia.
“Marvel Stadium is our home ground for Marvel fandom in Australia. It’s part of the cultural fabric. We’re excited fans can enjoy this special display of legendary Marvel characters and the many other iconic touchpoints throughout Marvel Stadium ahead of the release of the highly anticipated Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday,” she said.
Marvel Stadium General Manager Scott Fitzgerald said the new attraction builds on the venue’s growing list of year-round experiences.
“The Marvel Stadium Walk of Legends is another exciting addition to our continual evolution as a 365-day destination.
“Following the launch of the Marvel Stadium 365 Climb and Tour experiences last month, we’re continuing to create new ways for fans to engage with Marvel Stadium beyond event days and the Marvel Stadium Walk of Legends celebrates some of Marvel’s most iconic characters and gives visitors another reason to explore Marvel Stadium, whether they’re here for sport, entertainment or to immerse themselves in the Marvel experience.”
Visitors can also pick up exclusive Marvel artwork and browse Australia’s only dedicated Marvel Super-Store before Avengers: Doomsday arrives in Australian cinemas on 17 December 2026.
