Rock ’n’ roll legend Suzi Quatro is heading back to Australia later this year, with the Detroit-born musician set to perform six headline shows with Baby Animals before joining the Red Hot Summer lineup for four more dates.
The 76-year-old will kick off her Australian tour at Rooty Hill’s Coliseum Theatre on 14 November, before heading to the Sydney Opera House, Hobart, the Gold Coast, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre and Fremantle Prison, where the headline run wraps up on 6 December.
For the headline shows, Baby Animals will join Quatro as special guests, giving audiences a chance to see two generations of Australian and international rock royalty sharing the stage.
Quatro will then headline four Red Hot Summer appearances, beginning in Brisbane on 22 November before travelling to Lake Macquarie, Torquay and the Barossa Valley. The rotating lineups will feature Australian favourites including Jon Stevens, Baby Animals, Rose Tattoo, Dragon, Screaming Jets and Choirboys.
Quatro has a particularly strong connection with Australian audiences. Her breakthrough hit Can The Can reached number one here in 1973, followed by classics including 48 Crash, Daytona Demon and Devil Gate Drive. Her 1978 duet Stumblin’ In with Chris Norman also became a major international hit, while Rock Hard was certified platinum in Australia.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Quatro has continued recording and performing well beyond her 1970s heyday. Her latest studio album, Freedom, was released in 2026.
She has also made her mark beyond music, famously playing Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days, appearing in London’s West End and presenting rock and roll programs for BBC Radio 2.
Her influence on women in rock is undeniable, with musicians including Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde and Tina Weymouth among those inspired by her pioneering career.
