The Dandy Warhols are headed to Victoria to headline the Meredith Festival. But if you haven’t been successful in the ballot for tickets, don’t fret: they have just announced a Palais Theatre sideshow as part of their upcoming Pin Ups tour.
The US alternative rock favourites will play the Palais Theatre on Thursday, December 10, one day before their appearance at Meredith Festival. The Melbourne show is part of an Australian and New Zealand tour that will also stop in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Fremantle.
The tour kicks off in Hobart on November 24 with something a little different, as The Dandy Warhols join the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for a one-night-only performance at the Odeon Theatre. It will be the first time the band has brought its orchestral concept to Australia, following acclaimed performances with the Oregon Symphony.

Courtney Taylor-Taylor said the band is looking forward to returning Down Under.
“The Oz tour is right around the corner and we are getting very pumped about it. This one starts in Tasmania with the Symphony there, that will be a mind expanding trip. Then we hit all our favourite cities, or most of them, including some New Zealand shows,” he said.
“Then we end at Meredith festival, which we are told repeatedly is the coolest. There’s going to be a lot of amazing music, food, wine, and even wineries. We have always loved it down under which is why it’s been The Dandy Warhols second home for almost 3 decades.”
The tour celebrates Pin Ups, the band’s covers album released earlier this year, featuring their takes on songs by The Beatles, The Byrds, The Clash, Bob Dylan, The Cure, The Cramps and The Damned, among others.
The Dandy Warhols have been regular visitors to Australia since their first trip in 1998, building a particularly devoted local following through hits including Bohemian Like You, We Used To Be Friends and Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth.
Spotify presale tickets go on sale Friday, August 21 at 10am AEST, followed by the promoter presale on Monday, August 24 and general sale on Tuesday, August 25. More information here: sbmpresents.com/tour/the-dandy-warhols-2026
