Christmas is getting a RocKwiz makeover, with Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis and a mystery lineup of musical guests heading to Hamer Hall for a night of festive songs, fiendish trivia and plenty of unexpected laughs.
RocKwiz’s Very Merry Christmas will take over Arts Centre Melbourne on 17 December 2026, and will feature surprise musical guests, although fans will have to wait until the night to discover who is joining the lineup.
The RocKwiz OrKestra will provide the live soundtrack, while Dugald will return as the show’s famously human scoreboard. Audience members will also have the chance to take part, with contestants selected from the foyer before the performance.
The RocKwiz team has spent the past decade bringing its annual RocKwiz’s Really Really Good Friday to Melbourne’s premier concert hall over the Easter long weekend. Now, the team is giving the Christmas season a go with a brand-new festive format created especially for Hamer Hall.
Past surprise guests have included Leo Sayer, Kate Ceberano, Kutcha Edwards, Billy Bragg, Emma Donovan and Kate Miller-Heidke, so there is plenty of room for speculation about who might turn up this time.
Julia Zemiro said “We love performing in ‘The Hall’ and we adore our faithful Melbourne audiences. We’ve roasted and toasted Easter for ten years now so we thought it was time to give Chrissy a red hot crack! It will be fun.”
The show runs for two hours and 15 minutes, with haze and adult language among the warnings. It is not recommended for children under 12 unless they are familiar with the show.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday 2 September 2026. For tickets and more information, visit Arts Centre Melbourne.
